We've heard it all through the grapevine. One moment Kylie Cosmetics is vegan, the next they aren't.
So what's the deal, does Kylie Cosmetics contain animal products? Do they test on animals?
We dug deep, 'cause we want to know what's up! Here's what we found.
In the big bad world of makeup, your voice does matter. Kylie Cosmetics proves it.
When the line first launched, they were not tested on animals but did contain an ingredient called Carmine which is a compound derived from an insect.
When consumers started demanding ingredient lists and there was a noticeable effect on sales, Kylie went all out to ensure the line was 100% cruelty free and vegan (no animal products).
Your dollar is your vote and your voice matters! It's awesome seeing changes like this happen across the beauty community as we all become more aware of healthier alternatives.
According to the cosmetic companies website: "Kylie Cosmetics products are not tested on animals, and all shades of The Kylie Lip Kit (excluding Candy K) are vegan."
So there we have it. Kylie Cosmetics does not test on animals or contain animal products, except for Candy K lip kit. We'd love to see that change, but we still give a props to Kylie Cosmetics for stepping it up!
